I have always liked the name Sybil; I wanted to name my first daughter Sybil--but there was too much multiple-personality-disorder baggage with the name. But since almost all of us have different personas we bring out at different times and with different people or groups, and my own life has been an interesting mix of dissimilar groups, I decided Sybil would make a lovely blogging pseudonym.
